If you’ve been wondering what in the heck a “Hypno-Band” is, you will want to attend this meeting!
As obesity levels in America continue to spiral out of control, bariatric weight loss surgery is also dramatically on the rise, with nearly a quarter of a million such surgeries performed annually. The laparoscopic (lap) gastric band surgery is the latest type of adjustable gastric banding. This procedure costs up to $20,000 and presents the usual surgery risks while being limited primarily for obese patients with weight-related problems or for the morbidly obese.
In recent years, a virtual reality version of the lap band has been created and successfully applied in hypnotherapy clinics in Europe. The Hypno-Band is one of these products. Over a series of sessions the client is taken through the process of having a hypnotic version of a gastric band fitted. By using suggestion and visualization the mind becomes convinced that the stomach has become smaller and requires less food. By eating less and less often, the client begins to lose weight. The process uses hypnotherapy and cognitive behavioral techniques to help the client achieve ideal weight – and stay there!
Kelley T. Woods, CHt., will discuss how she has incorporated the Hypno-Band Program into her own weightloss practice, explaining the process and sharing results from her dozens of satisfied clients. As a licensed practitioner of the Hypno-Band program, she will clarify what the protocol covers and its efficacy in helping a client release excess weight.

Kelley T. Woods is a certified clinical hypnotherapist who subscribes to a client-driven approach. Initially trained by Ron Stubbs, qualified by the Minnesota School of Advanced Communication Skills, Kelley has maintained a practice in Mount Vernon 2002.
