GREETINGS:

We invite you to our meeting, to be held on Friday, June 10th, 2011, 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm.  http://www.nghwa.org for details.

Please join us Friday for our next NGHWA chapter meeting. This month’s meeting features “Charles Tebbetts:  Parts Therapy Pioneer” by Roy Hunter.

Roy Hunter
Who was Charles Tebbetts, and why did he become a legend before his passing?

Roy Hunter will overview the life of Charles Tebbetts, who helped to shape 20th century history of the hypnosis profession. After completing his formal training in 1983, Roy became a personal friend of Charles and Joyce Tebbetts. Charlie (as his friends called him) eventually turned his organization over to Roy, who merged it with the National Guild of Hypnotists.
Known best for pioneering and teaching parts therapy, Charlie passed away in 1992 at the annual convention of the NGH. Before his passing, he asked Roy Hunter to continue his work and take parts therapy to the next level.
Roy will overview parts therapy as well, and take questions and answers (time permitting).

Here is a brief outline of the presentation:

1. Brief bio of Charles Tebbetts
2. Tebbetts and HECI in Washington State
3. Combined state conferences: NGH and WHA
4. HECI becomes first NGH chapter in WA
5. Tebbetts passes at NGH in 1992
6. He asks Roy Hunter to continue his work
7. Overview of parts therapy
8. Variations (time permitting)
9. Q & A (time permitting)

About Roy Hunter

Roy Hunter, FAPHP, teaches professionals domestically and abroad. His parts therapy workshops are popular in both hemispheres, and he has been a keynote speaker at conferences in both Australia and England as well as in the USA.

In June of 2006 he taught parts therapy at the London College of Clinical Hypnosis (LCCH). Trained by Charles Tebbetts in 1983, Roy has taught professional hypnosis since 1987. Roy’s texts come highly praised, and are required reading in many hypnosis schools around the world. He is the recipient of numerous awards, with awards for lifetime achievement in hypnotherapy from three different organizations, including the Order of Braid from the NGH. In 1990, Roy was the founding chapter president for the first NGH chapter in Washington State.
